The Dodge City High School “Red Demons” will be looking to build upon their non-conference momentum as they prepare for this Friday night’s conference opener versus the Liberal High School “Redskins”. The game is slated for a 7:00 start at Dodge City’s Memorial Stadium. Dodge City defeated Wichita North 48-22 in Week #3 to remain undefeated on the young season. Liberal lost its’ conference opener last week versus Hays, 21-17. Hays is coached by Liberal alum Ryan Cornelson. Cornelson is also the son of former Liberal Head Coach – Gary Cornelson. Dodge City will host Hays for Homecoming in Week #6.

Series History
The Red Demons have faced the Redskins 82 times, dating back to the 1919 season. The Demons lead the series 43-36, with three ties. The “Skins” won last year’s contest, 35-6. The series was not played from 1949-1956, but has been played every year since. This will be the first WAC contest of the year for Dodge City, and the first of three straight conference contests before entering District play in week seven.
