A year ago, Dodge City defeated Wichita Southeast 26-3, but since then, a lot has changed.
“I am smart enough to know I would never mention that score,” Foster said. “It has no relevance to this football team. I have been on teams that have been on the losing end one year and the next year you comeback and beat the snot out of somebody. To compare two separate years with two separate graduating classes, would be crazy and I am not crazy.”

Demon Head Coach Dave Foster
The Red Demons enter their season opener against Southeast on Friday night at Memorial Stadium after losing its head coach, starting quarterback, leading receiver, leading rusher and top tackler form last year’s squad.
“It is an exciting time,” Foster said. “Dodge City High School is coming off a very solid year a year ago, having graduated a good group of seniors, which presents a great challenge for us.
“These kids are a new football team. A new year, means a new group of kids. We have a lot of kids that have worked extremely hard in the offseason and the kids have practiced hard the three previous weeks and it is time to show what our practice has come down to.”
